GANLING
I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela.
I moved to New York in 2016 and since then I’ve been focused on learning more about the New York artistic scene.
I have been involved in many art programs such as the Summer Architecture Lab at City College
In Venezuela, I learned how to play the violin through El Sistema, a national music program. After moving to New York, I participated in many orchestras such as the Interschool Orchestras of NY and a few school plays.
I have also helped the Opportunity Music Project, an organization where I’m an alumnus and now a counselor during the summer camp and teacher assistant mentoring young children during the regular school year. Besides that, I also regularly teach violin lessons.
I’m a junior at Queens College currently pursuing a Music Performance degree in violin and a minor in Graphic design. My goal is to encourage the spread of the arts.
